HOW DOES LOFT INSULATION WORK?
Our trained loft insulation teams place loft insulation quilts into traditional pitched roofs. The material is rolled between the joists and may then be applied in a second layer across the joists to prevent the “cold bridge” which is created by the ceiling plasterboard and each of the joists.
As the mandatory depths of insulation have increased, so has the expertise and detail required in order to carry out satisfactory work.
Loft hatches are insulated where possible with the appropriate depth of material laid on the top, then sealed over with polythene.
We also insulate tanks and pipes to British Standards specifications, and complete the insulation installation by building a walkway to access these services where necessary.
Our installers are all trained to the highest standards so that whether material is being installed into the roof for the first time or topped up over existing insulation the work is carried out quickly and competently with the minimum of disruption.
